Purgatory is a sexy, character driven satire about the professional and personal lives of the employees at Pierre's Custom Catering. Inspired by real people and events, their improper pastimes, human foibles, and hopes and dreams are explored as their search for love, success, and happiness leads them down some twisted and surprising roads. Taking place over four days, it culminates the night of the company party -- an unforgettable night full of shocking twists and sizzling romps, as their dirty little secrets get exposed and explored... The setting is New York City. The hard-working servers are white and black, Hispanic and Asian. There's a talented singer in a trap of her own making (the particulars of which she is not yet fully aware). A man approaching middle age, still playing the player. A yoga instructor (whose teaching skills she later finds go well beyond yoga). The bitter Irish painter -- this one enjoys wielding power. Two seemingly common men ruled by their uncommon desires. Actors, yes of course. And a young girl looking for love, when what she really needs is sanctuary. Follow them on their sizzling journey of self-discovery. The author of PURGATORY, Candy O'Connor is a former opera and Broadway singer (credits include THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA). She is an actor and writer of book screen and memes.
