Clarence "Sonny" White writes primarily Christian songs and poems, since accepting Jesus as his Lord and Saviour over 20 years ago. Sonny expresses his belief that any good he may do is the result of God allowing him to excel. Sonny says; "I was blessed being born to a Christian Mother and Dad. Looking back I remember my Mother singing as she worked around the house and in the garden. I believe my writing was a result of that." Sonny has been writing most all of his life. In December 1951 while in the 6th grade, he had a poem published in the Covington, Tennessee newspaper. His poem, "The First Christmas" won a cash prize in a Christmas story/poem contest and was published in "The Covington Leader". Sonny loves writing songs and poetry, camping, fishing and working on old cars. He owns a 1956 Chevrolet which he enjoys driving.
