During sixteen years of service, Dean Stott rose to the top of the Special Boat Service, and took part in some of the most daring operations imaginable. But then, following a horrific parachuting accident, Dean's doctors told him that he would never again perform at the elite level. To put it mildly, Dean disagreed and embarked on a new mission: this time to cycle the Pan-American Highway, a 14,000 mile route passing through some of the world's most dangerous countries.

A passionate mental health campaigner, Dean decided to excel even further by tasking himself with raising a million pounds for charity; and breaking two world records while he was at it.
