Details about what happened were scarce, even for those that were there and witnessed it. Everybody carried images in their heads about how it went down, but that didn't help those who weren't there. Somebody they knew was gone, just like that, and it would never make sense. With an IED seemingly on every street in Baghdad, soldiers face an enemy capable of moving about Iraq's capital city like a ghost, striking at a time and place of his choosing.
