Dr Andrew Abraham, a resident in a Boston Hospital is thrown into the aftermath of a terrorist attack on Boston Logan Airport. He works night and day trying to save as many as he can. A young pregnant woman is found in the baggage hall and is rushed to hospital where Andrew tries to save her. However, higher powers decide otherwise and the patient is lost. An autopsy is ordered and the results incriminate Andrew.

Andrew becomes a pariah in Boston and he is suspended until an investigation concludes as to his role in the woman's death. A suspicious security guard decides to delve deeper into the quagmire and he finds some shocking footage which vindicates Andrew's innocence.

Andrew returns to work an acquitted man but the hospital staff remain suspicious and he transfers to a prestigious private New York hospital to finish his medical training and to get away from poisonous lips. After his training he stays on in the private hospital where he falls in love with a nurse in his department. His new lover Eva struggles for money at every turn and she starts to siphon money off Andrew on a continuous basis.

Eventually Eva runs off with Andrew's money and he is left in severe financial difficulties. Can Andrew overcome potential bankruptcy or will he make a decision that will get him into so much trouble he won't be able to overcome?
