It was dark in the bed of the truck. Darrin could tell they had left the main road and on a rough dirt road. With his hands tied it was difficult, but he was able to raise up and see out. The moon provided enough light to show there were no homes, just forest. It was near three in the morning. With his truck pushed into a river, the millions of dollars he was carrying now in their hands he knew they would kill him. This is what they came for. He laid back down and closed his eyes.
