What does the statement "We the People" really mean? How many understand The Declaration of Independence and its basic idea that All Men are Equal and have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? Why hasn't America been the land of freedom for all people? What about the stained history she carries-slavery, lack of voting rights, and oppression of women?

America's history is powerful, and we can learn much from it, but after looking back, what do we do with our future? Do you watch the news, the stream of stories about racial injustice, muffled cries, shouts, screams, the unrest, and the division happening to America? Is there a way to change it? Warning! This book is not going to share the story you learned in school. Second Chances will share truths that I have researched for over 50 years. Some might be hard to swallow, so give yourself time, and I challenge you to review my academic opinion to see a perspective that will make you ask why.
