Description
Many point out that Abraham and Jacob tithed, establishing that tithing occurred before the Law. This demonstrates that "since tithing was practiced before the law, Christians should tithe." We are often told that "if Christians do not tithe, they are under a curse, as the Bible says in Malachi 3."
Others of a different persuasion tell us that "we are not under the law, so we are not under the curse of the law, nor are we obligated to follow the Law of Moses regarding the tithe." They state, "Just give what you want, where you want and when you want" as a freewill offering unto the Lord. You may have noticed that these positions on tithing are not in agreement. They are not even close. You can get many different answers on this topic depending on who you listen to.
Most believers want to be faithful to the Lord, and church leaders want to know how to teach "Giving and Receiving" faithfully. This makes the questions of tithing important.
Like others, I have struggled with questions about tithing and have searched for answers. This book is the result of that search.
