Was Skip Jordan's life saved for a special reason when he was four years old? Has he been destined, like Joseph in the Bible, to save many people from death? Will Skip's special friends, Nancy and Ashley, find they have had to pay too high a price for joining with him in the fight? Will the destructive practice of witchcraft prevail? Will their youth and inexperience spell defeat for them, or will they be able to draw on strength not their own? At the age of thirteen Skip Jordan begins having horrific dreams. In them he recognises several of his friends staring up in fascination at a rainbow sky. It is really a veil. Behind it a host of demons stare malevolently down at them. In their desperate attempt to save their friends, they are aided by Skip's guardian, aunt May, and by a number of prayer warriors both at home, and across the sea. In the course of their journey they have to overcome a mysterious power named, 'The Looming Menace.' They confront a number of 'lying wonders, ' and face death more than once. Unknown to Skip and the girls there is a battle going on in the heavenly places between angels and demons. All these battles are focused on these three young people called to face impossible odds. This is a novel for young and old alike, a combination of fantasy, drama, and adventure that nevertheless confronts the heart with truth and light.
