The world has moved on. Preds and Norms are in a battle for survival, with a looming war still ahead. Preds and Norms will have to unite to fight a common enemy, but until that time... All Randy wanted was a quiet afternoon. But when his nap is interrupted by a couple of heinous Preds, Randy is thrown into the middle of a conflict he'd rather avoid. Norms Captain Kaiba and Clora enlist Randy to help them repair Fortress Barge Scarborough, which has since been mysteriously damaged. The device in which is required to jump the barge across different locations needs to be replaced. Clora and Randy set out to find this large coil. Along the way, they run into a couple of Preds. During this encounter, Clora starts to realize that Randy isn't what he seems to be, for he is displaying powers beyond any Pred she has ever seen. As a result of this encounter, they add a child Pestilence to their group, a very powerful-if not rather annoying-little Pred. Through a process called Bonding, Pestilence and Randy are linked for life. Returning with the replacement piece, Clora, Randy and Pestilence come home to the aftermath of an attack from the Preds. Fighting them off sends Randy into a spiralling fight with an eternal evil that has been dormant inside his mind for far too long. And now, that evil wants to be released.With a looming sense of deja vu and high-octane action, Steampunk Randy will grip you and not let go until the final, shocking conclusion.
