In spite of their name, the bloodthirsty and lust driven Bearers are manipulated by a patched together system that keeps vital hygiachips manipulating them. It's a delicate balance. Sterility is rampant in humans and Bearers alike. If the Bearers die out because they can't breed, they take the humans with them. Their animal power is vital to the underground bio-systems that keeps the small human population alive. Allowed to mate, the Bearers become dangerous and hostile. But the humans keep risking; experimenting. No baby survives. Not human. Not Bearer. Until. When the system fails, the result is surreal. Those humans no longer controlled by the very same system that kept their own libidos flat find themselves face to face with the ominous creatures once held at arm's length. Hell doesn't need to break loose; it was always there. This is the first part of a three part dystopian fantasy. It ends in a cliffhanger.
