Once an orphan who was sent to live with her grandparents, Aurora now finds herself once again on her own when her grandfather passes away. A smart girl who finished high school and college early, and a self proclaimed nerd at heart, Aurora has a hard time digesting all the changes that his death has caused. Her inheritance is everything he had, save one, very small, and completely crazy request. She must go one year without any technology at all. Until then, only an old ragged trunk in his room can be hers. What the trunk holds brings a whole new realm of craziness to the young and disbelieving teenager.
