The two white girls who have grown up on a farm, or the young girl who has had a troubled past. He expects them to work and they do. The girls will learn to come togather in the face of fear of a tornado that threatens their life. The tragedy that will affect them all when one of the crew is in a serious accident. The summer of hard work long hours will prepare them for life they soon face with joy and disapointments. They will always be the crew.
