Meet Ensign Amelia Brown. She's assigned to the Naval spacecraft USSS Midway and is tasked with investigating a particularly gruesome murder that occurred onboard. For reasons she's not privy to, her orders are to move the investigation to a remote and barely civilized mining outpost. To complicate matters, Amelia's fellow investigators include a hunky Marine she shares a romantic past with and a confident ex-Navy SEAL who she doesn't quite trust. Trudging through the rainforest to reach the mining caves tests each crew member's stamina and wits. But what awaits the crew inside the caves is-well, let's just say it is the stuff of nightmares.
