Takis Moravas' dream was to be able to return to Kalamata, Greece his birthplace. When he sold his restaurant business in Baltimore, he was able to accomplish his dream. He found that Kalamata was not the small sleeping town that he left some forty years before. He found some old friends, expatriates like him and his younger sister Vasso and her family. At first he felt that his dream had been fulfilled. But as usual, life has its own turns and tricks and his whole world seems to come unraveled. Takis tells his story and reminisces of past events while he tries to make sense of people and his new found situation.
