A fictional account of a young boy and his father, who embark on a camping trip to the Sierra Nevada Mountains for adventure and scientific experimentation. Danger strikes early when the father is shot, left for dead, in an attempted robbery. The son escapes with thieves in desperate pursuit. Void of hunting or camping skills, alone with exception of a befriended young wolf cub, a young boy finds himself lost, in the center of one of the largest National forest fires. Wandering over 30 miles in four weeks, encountering danger at every turn. Solitude of strength, guidance and courage comes by way of miracle of prayer and discovery of scripture. From the boy's local hamlet, deep in the Sierra Nevada, an awareness, search, and rescue grow nationwide. The young boy is ultimately tested by the true meaning of endurance, faith, and courage while also learning to coexist with natures wild.
