Alex is the unlikeliest of heroes - a 12-year-old pie maker who lives in a town where nothing much ever happens. But when a dragon makes its home in a cave at the top of a mountain on the edge of the town, he is tricked into fighting it by the devious mayor, who tells the townsfolk they face disaster if it isn't defeated.
Reluctantly Alex makes his way to the top of Ice Cream Disaster Peak, but all is not what it seems with this dragon and an unlikely friendship quickly develops.
Somehow Alex needs to convince the town that there is nothing to fear...but how will he do it? And what's so special about the dragon's Golden Sunflower?
This is a lighthearted, humorous tale about finding the benefits of embracing the unfamiliar, welcoming the unwelcome, and maintaining a healthy distrust of those who do the opposite. Have you ever wondered what it looks like when a dragon sneezes? You can find that out too.
