However, no good deed goes unpunished, and their efforts drag them into the plotting human empire. With their newest weapon, the Winter Sun, the once neutral species has the power to reshape the world. Facing this new threat as well as her old life, Gwen has to learn that love and kindness will not be enough, and, with Gav by her side and the help of new friends, they must find a way to stop the humans and save a world that she only just became a part of.
