Teachers' mistakes do not have an immediate impact, but they have a devastating impact on society, because the fundamental qualities established in childhood and adolescence stay with a person for the rest of his or her life. The decisions about reforming the educational system must be based on reason, not on instinct. Intelligence, when it comes to a great country, is collective intelligence, not the willfulness of single-minded originals, to whom many parents today carelessly entrust their children's destinies. There is no need to list here all the innovations in educational practice - they are in plain sight.
