Threads has a deep rumbling throughout, a rage and grit at its base, the kind of rumbling that erupts from the Earth like new life breaking out of winter soil, or an earthquake, or volcano. These poems speak to how much life asks of us, the determination to lose over and over again yet still carry on. Each poem seems to point to a kind of liberation found in the losing itself. Walking these sometimes nightmarish paths of transformation, Sunday leaves us with one of the more bitter yet exalting and sweet truths of life, that one must always carry on finding their song, that all of our stories matter, and we must offer it up again and again, no matter what.
