Tobias was like a bodyguard to a rock star. He had devoted most of his adult life to the care and protection of the healer. Every day for more than 20 years he had listened to the complaints of the people who showed up in droves, clamoring for an audience with the wonder-worker, seeking relief and respite from their ails and illnesses. When the crowds became unmanageable, as they always did, Tobias would move the healer to a new location, but people always managed to find them again - first a few, then more and more every day. And now the healer was gravely ill himself, and Tobias was faced with a dilemma. What to do. Whatever he did, it would not involve prayer, because Tobias did not believe in the Christian God, nor in His miracles, and when the final solution came, it was stunning, and breathtaking, and something that would change Tobias' life forever.
