On the eve of his most dangerous mission, Captain Andrew Beckler, the leader of this unique group, finds himself falling in love with Lieutenant Becky Hewitt. He carries her love and the confidence of his crew with him as they steam to sea in an attempt to transport a mysterious cargo to a rendezvous with the American fleet in the Sea of Japan.
