Description

A mentally ill young man (Teller Leitz) grows weary with his monotonous life. At 25, he still lives with his parents in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and he works at a lighthouse museum once occupied by Herman B. Gibbs. Teller cannot control his illness, and refers to it as the "match man" who lives in his head. In a desperate attempt to protect his family from his outbursts, he impulsively buys a plane ticket to Reykjavik, Iceland, the northern most city, to see the northern lights -only once he's arrived does he realize he's completely out of money. He then must stay in Iceland, but Reykjavik reveals to Teller much more than he could've hoped. The people he meets help him manage his illness and show him that life can still be good despite his difficulties. This involves making a housing deal with the wise hotel clerk, Mr. Eggertsson, aiding a colorful photographer named Marisol, discovering what fishermen really do at night, and much, much more.
