Ideal particulate system consisting of mono sized particles of equal densities seldom occurs in practical fluidized bed applications, where simultaneous treatment of dissimilar material is normally encountered in a fairly large number of industrial applications of gas solid fluidization technology. Many applications of fluidized bed technology have been found during recent years for multi component solid treatments, burning high-sulpher coal via fluidized bed combustion (FBC) is one of the most promising methods that is environmentally acceptable and economically feasible.
