IN this book, Tanisha goes by her distinctive middle name, "Voshe'," and goes through a recollection of events that occurred from childhood until the time she was twenty-three years old. Voshe' was written to help people feel more confident and comfortable with facing the healing process of traumatic experiences and using those experiences to build strength and courage rather than thinking and feeling like a victim for the whole of their lives. Honesty, details, and "realness" are only half of what this book entails. She wants people to know that they are not alone and that it is important to face fears rather than allowing them to consume you. This book has also helped the author heal from her own experiences and hopes that it can be the starting point for people to heal from their own experiences too.CONSIDERING herself a feminist, she would also like to change the misconstrued idea that feminists hate men, and bring feminism back to its original meaning - equality of women to men in all aspects. Being a woman, she knows and understands that a lot of women who are abused in any way by men grow bitter inside, believing that good men are extremely rare. Being that she was this type of woman in the past, she wants people to know that women and men equally need one another, and that good people exist despite any of the bad ones. Wherever the negative exists, there will always be a reflection of positive waiting to be unraveled.
