Bullying is a growing menace today. The world of children, young adults, grown ups, and even the animals and birds, is beset with bullying. Even a healthy competitive spirit sometimes borders on bullying, frightening, and eroding the competitor's confidence. The way to deal with bullying is to fight back but it does not work all the time. The bully might be bigger and stronger just like the Bully Fish in the book.

The book is about how a baby crab realises his self-worth and practises the use of his pincers to finally make the Bully Fish lose. He does not get into a physical fight. Just working on his strengths helps him gain the confidence to emerge a winner.
