Description
Someone is killing off the only people who can read the clues to an old murder in Jonathan Aldrich's new play.
In a small New Hampshire town, Aldrich, an eccentric, once-famous author, dies and bequeaths his estate to seven individuals, with the condition that they each attend the opening of his play, Whodunit, an old-fashioned murder mystery.
At least, that's what the residents of Harpers Crossing are led to believe.
When the executor of the Aldrich estate is murdered, Attorney Matthew Harper, a descendent of the town's founder, is assigned the duty of carrying out the terms of the will. But when first the head of the summer-stock company and then all seven beneficiaries die in suspicious accidents, he begins to suspect that something more sinister than an innocent summer-stock production is involved.
And the body count has just begun.
